The Story Behind the Work
Welcome — I’m grateful you found your way here.
I’m Tom, founder of Trotta Learning Solutions. After 15 years in special education—supporting students with learning differences and guiding families through some of their toughest moments—I realized something: most people don’t need more theories or generalized advice. They need fast, clear, and practical solutions they can use right now.
That realization hit even harder when my son was diagnosed with ADHD. The emotional rollercoasters, the explosive energy, the meltdowns over socks — suddenly, it all made sense. Not long after, I was diagnosed too.
Turns out, spending hours obsessing over which calendar app to use — instead of actually using one — wasn’t just indecisiveness. It was ADHD: hyperfocus, time blindness, and the invisible overwhelm of trying to make life feel manageable.
So I shifted. What started as classroom expertise evolved into something more personal and powerful: a mission to help families stop spinning their wheels and start seeing progress.
At Trotta Learning Solutions, I do more than coach — I help uncover what’s really getting in the way and work with you to build a clear, strategic path forward. This work is grounded in real-life experience, practical strategies, and the belief that with the right tools, support, and structure, meaningful change is absolutely within reach.
This isn’t about one-size-fits-all plans or vague encouragement. It’s about real change — delivered with compassion, backed by experience, and designed to fit your life.
You don’t have to figure this out alone. I’m here for the messy days, the small wins, the setbacks, and the breakthroughs. Let’s find what works — with structure, heart, and maybe a laugh or two along the way.
Warmly,
Tom
Is Trotta Learning Solutions the Right Fit For You?
Let’s be honest: there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for ADHD, executive function challenges, or parenting neurodivergent kids. And I’m not everyone’s cup of coffee (or second cup, if we’re being real). But if you're looking for practical tools, honest conversations, and meaningful progress — this quick checklist might help you decide if we’d be a good fit.
This is the Right Fit for You If...
You’re looking for a one-size-fits-all formula — I build customized strategies based on your specific needs
You’re not ready to try new approaches — real progress usually starts outside your comfort zone
You prefer in-person only — my services are 100% virtual for flexibility, comfort, and pajamas-optional support
You’re seeking medical or psychological diagnoses — I’m not that kind of expert (but I can work alongside those who are)
You’re a parent who’s typed “how to get my kid to sit still” into Google more times than you can count
You’re feeling stuck — tired of trying reward charts, timers, and routines that don’t seem to stick
You’re looking for targeted solutions, not vague advice — and want to start making progress now
You appreciate a coach who mixes compassion with a bit of clarity (and a little humor when things get tough)
You want support from someone who’s lived this — not just studied it
